Title of the speech:

Welcome to the New Era of Corporate Social Impact

In the last twenty years, we’ve witnessed an incredible transformation in the world of corporate social responsibility. Corporations – once seen as the enemy of social activism – now play a critical role in advancing social progress. With populist waves occurring across the globe, this transformation has only accelerated. When government refuses to step up on issues including climate change, human rights and refugees, companies are stepping up to lead. Susan’s talk will provide an overview of this evolution, highlighting examples of bold companies that embody the new era of corporate social impact.

Title of workshop:

How to build corporate social responsibility into your business

Building responsibility into your business isn’t only the right thing to do – it’s also smart from a business perspective. Study after study has shown that consumers prefer to buy from responsible brands and that employees – particularly millennials – want to work for companies with purpose. This workshop will help company leaders start to develop (or refine) social impact platforms that align with their businesses. It will explain the various aspects of a corporate responsibility program, and provide participants with tips and tools for developing partnerships, engaging consumers and employees, telling social impact stories and more.
