Stefan Lindström is the Finnish Foreign Services Ambassador of Technology. He is a result driven career diplomat, business advisor and networker with 25+ years of global experience in branding, business/export promotion and building successful partnerships. Mr Lindström is a specialist in geopolitics, geo-economics and analyzing paradigm changes. His passion about emerging opportunities of technology and digital drives his work. A particular interest is the interaction between technology and democracy. He is a member of Boardman and Partner at five venture funds. He is an energetic public speaker and performer with a proven ability to translate ideas into concrete action in a global or local set-up. Prior to this assignment, he worked as Consul General/Ambassador at the Finnish Consulate General in Los Angeles, as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Finnish Embassies in Lisbon, Portugal and Jakarta, Indonesia. Before that, he was the adviser to the undersecretary of state at the MFA in Helsinki, Finland and served with the Finnish missions in the USA and in India. Prior to joining the Foreign Service, Mr. Lindström worked as legal adviser for the European Commission in Brussels and as a research assistant at the London School of Economics. Mr Lindström has a Master’s Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Master’s Degree in International Law from the Åbo Akademi University.

She is a leader and a market-leading expert in change management and building customer-centric organizations, with over 20 years of experience in the financial industry. Previously, she worked at Bank Handlowy, Bank Millennium, and ING Bank Śląski. A speaker and lecturer at conferences and studies dedicated to customer experience and service design, she has also been engaged for years in supporting the development of managers through participation in mentoring projects.

Wojciech Twaróg is the Director of Cybersecurity and CISO at Nationale-Nederlanden Poland, with over 20 years of experience in various IT roles. Since 2017, he has focused on cybersecurity, making it more accessible to both technical and non-technical people. He specializes in cybersecurity architecture, DevSecOps, and building a Shift-Left Security culture. He creates innovative cybersecurity awareness programs and designs and implements security processes. He is a fan of simplification, standardization, and automation. With over two decades of experience in the cybersecurity industry, Paolo Palumbo has established himself as a leader and technical expert, particularly in the field of threat detection. His journey began as a cybersecurity researcher, where Paolo specialized in reverse engineering and deep malware analysis. During this time, Paolo utilized cutting-edge techniques, including machine learning, to develop innovative methods for detecting threat actors and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). This work led to the publication of numerous research papers and patents, solidifying Paolo’s status as an authority in the field.
In his current role as the VP for WithSecure Intelligence at WithSecure, Paolo leads a high-performing unit responsible for cybersecurity content. Auke Hoekstra is an academic researcher at the Eindhoven University of Technology. He is also the founder and director of NEONresearch.nl and Zenmo.com. In both these entities, people are modelling how we can quickly transition away from fossil fuels using a bottom-up agent-based methodology that respects individual freedom, heterogeneity, and technological learning.
Auke is often contacted by the media and has been called “debunker in chief” on X/twitter where he corrects misinformation about electric vehicles and renewable energy. He is certain that humanity can have cheap, abundant and clean energy for all, if we work together and harness our technology the right way.

Artur Osuchowski

Member of the Management Board of ORLEN S.A. for Energy and Energy Transformation
Manager with over 20 years of experience in managing international industrial companies. From 2008 to 2019, he served as a member of the management board of Ciech S.A., where he was responsible for, among other things, managing the Soda Division, which generated over 80% of the Group’s EBITDA. He oversaw key functional areas such as sales, investor relations, M&A projects – including those related to energy assets, and corporate governance. He implemented strategic projects aimed at restructuring the Group and increasing its value, while simultaneously meeting the conditions of emission reduction and energy efficiency, thanks to which the Ciech Group became a leader in profitability among industrial concerns in Europe. From 2021 to 2024, he was a member of the management board of Ege Kimya Polska, which implements projects in the field of electromobility (development of production capacities for nickel and cobalt salts for the production of batteries for electric vehicles). At the beginning of his career, he worked at Raiffeisen Bank Polska and in international consulting firms: Ernst & Young Corporate Finance and KPMG Advisory, where he carried out projects for the largest energy and industrial companies operating in Central and Eastern Europe.

Nadzorował kluczowe obszary funkcjonalne, takie jak: sprzedaż, relacje inwestorskie, projekty M&A – w tym dotyczące aktywów energetycznych, nadzór korporacyjny. Realizował projekty strategiczne, mające na celu restrukturyzację Grupy i wzrost jej wartości, przy jednoczesnym spełnieniu warunków redukcji emisji i efektywności energetycznej, dzięki czemu Grupa Ciech stała się liderem rentowności wśród koncernów przemysłowych w Europie.
W latach 2021-2024 członek zarządu spółki Ege Kimya Polska, realizującej projekty w obszarze elektromobilności (rozwój mocy produkcyjnych soli niklu i kobaltu do produkcji baterii do samochodów elektrycznych).

Aleksandra Trojanowska jest ekspertką z 15-letnim doświadczeniem w zakresie strategii zielonej transformacji, dekarbonizacji i raportowania zrównoważonego rozwoju. Jest autorką dwóch raportów poświęconych tej tematyce: „Nie ma dekarbonizacji bez digitalizacji” i „7 emerging trends in ESG” oraz licznych artykułów tematycznych. Do realizowanych przez nią projektów należą m.in. Program Zrównoważonej Transformacji Grupy Colliers oraz strategia dekarbonizacji Grupy ORLEN. Jest też autorką licznych strategii korporacyjnych wiodących przedsiębiorstw użyteczności publicznej i energetycznych w regionie Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej.

Aleksandra Trojanowska is an expert with 15 years of experience in green transformation strategies, decarbonization and sustainability reporting. She is the author of two reports on this topic: „There is no decarbonization without digitalization” and „7 emerging trends in ESG” and numerous thematic articles. Her projects include the Colliers Group Sustainable Transformation Program and the ORLEN Group decarbonization strategy. She is also the author of numerous corporate strategies for leading utilities and energy companies in the CEE region. Aleksandra is a member of the ACCA association of international financial auditors. She completed management programs at Sloan MIT, INSEAD, Kellogg and Stanford universities. She actively shares her knowledge on sustainable transformation at various events, including ACCA, PIBR and industry conferences in Poland, London and Milan.

Head of the Artificial Intelligence and Cybercommunication Research Center at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz
Artur Modliński is a habilitated doctor in the field of management and quality sciences, head of the Artificial Intelligence and Cybercommunication Research Center at the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz. At the same time, he is a researcher at the International Research Center (CITAD) at the University of Lusiada, the Urban Sensorial Laboratory in Lisbon, the Iris Ancona Institute in Riga, the Augmented Human Intelligence & Digital Ergonomics Lab at the Universita di Pavia in Italy, the Romualdo del Bianco Foundation in Florence and the European Foundation Human Development. He is the co-founder of the first Business Process Automation – BPA studies in Poland, affiliated with the Blue Prism Academy based in Great Britain, which were awarded by business due to their practical formula (the studies are carried out in cooperation with Nordea, Bosch, Fujitsu, DXC technology, Digital Workforce, Digital Teammates).
His mission is to combine business practice with academia. During his research and implementation work, he discovered and described phenomena such as techno-empowerment, technoization, algorithmic conformity, re-manualization of business processes, HMTRC – human machine trans role conflict.
His area of interest is the digital transformation of organizations, autonomous artificial intelligence, human-machine interactions and synergy, human technological extensions, posthumanism in business and gender studies in the area of adoption of new technologies.

Artur Modliński jest doktorem habilitowanym w obszarze nauk o zarządzaniu i jakości, kierownikiem Centrum Badań nad Sztuczną Inteligencją i Cyberkomunikacją przy Wydziale Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego. Jednocześnie jest badaczem w Międzynarodowym Centrum Badawczym (CITAD) przy Uniwersytecie Lusiada, Laboratorium Urban Sensorial w Lizbonie, Instytucie Iris Ankona w Rydze, Laboratorium Augmented Human Intelligence & Digital Ergonomics Lab przy Universita di Pavia we Włoszech, Fundacji Romualdo del Bianco we Florencji oraz Europejskiej Fundacji Rozwoju Człowieka. Jej wyróżnikiem na rynku jest szerokie portfolio usług dodanych świadczonych przez działający lokalnie zespół inżynierów i inżynierek OChK – od strategii wejścia w chmurę przez migracje, usługi cyberbezpieczeństwa i compliance po różnego typu zastosowania sztucznej inteligencji, uczenia maszynowego i analityki danych, aż po optymalizację kosztową. For six years, he acted as Director of the Transactional Application Development Department in the largest bank in Poland – PKO Bank Polski, where he played a key role in the acquisition processes of Nordea Bank Polska and SKOK Wesoła. He participated in PKO Bank Polski’s launch of innovative solutions, including: IKO mobile banking, an engine for calculating risk parameters in accordance with the IRB approach, a system for handling option transactions, a central solution for handling Cash Management products, the Loro system together with ICM functionality, implementation of a new IPKO Dealer auto-dealing system, as well as a fraud detection and handling system (EFM – Enterprise Fraud Management).  

Since 2017, he has worked in government administration bodies as a plenipotentiary of the Minister of Finance for computerisation, where he has supervised the IT organisation of the Ministry of Finance, comprising more than 1,800 employees. He created and then implemented a digital transformation strategy for the Ministry of Finance. He has successfully restructured initiatives which were at a risk of failure, in particular the e-taxes project, for which he secured a pre-jurisdictional settlement. He was responsible for implementing innovative solutions, i.e. Your e-PIT, e-Tax Office, Poltax+, e-Toll, which facilitated and automated administrative processes. He developed and implemented the BIG DATA concept based on the use of algorithms and supervised the implementation of projects such as JPK_VAT, STIR, Split Payment, SENT, MDR, White List of VAT Remitters, e-Financial Statements, on-line Cash Registers, Virtual Cash Registers and e-Receipts. In September 2021, he took up the position of the Director of the Central IT Hub, where he successfully merged the NASK and COI development departments. He was responsible for developing a strategy for digitalisation of public administration, including the implementation of an e-payment platform for the public sector, the Central Register of Powers of Attorney and Authorisations, changing the nature of the mObywatel application or the Central Register of Drivers. 

Following the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, he successfully managed the Help Ukraine project, as part of which he adapted the national registers for assignment of PESEL (Personal ID) numbers, trusted profiles, and launched the Ukrainian-language version of the mObywatel application and dedicated refugee service centres at the National Stadium, Tauron Arena, as well as a system for handling humanitarian convoys.  

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Cybernetics at the Military University of Technology and the Collegium of Management and Finance at the Warsaw School of Economics. He also obtained the Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

Catalina Stefanescu-Cuntze

She is the head of communication unit and deputy director of Policy Strategy & Outreach in DG CNECT at the European Commission. She is an advocate, member of the Bar in Lublin (Poland). She graduated in Law from Maria Sklodowska-Curie University in Lublin in 1998, then in EU Law from the College of Europe in Natolin (Poland) in 1999 and in Law from the University of “Tor Vergata” in Rome in 2002. In 2003 she joined the European Court of Justice. In 2008 she moved to DG COMP at the European Commission. In 2011 she became the Deputy Head of EC Representation in Poland (during Polish Presidency in the EU) and in 2012 she became Head of Media and Commission Spokesperson in Italy. Adam Marciniak

His nearly 20-year-long career was developed in the largest financial institutions in Poland: Bank Pekao, Pekao Central Brokerage House, Inteligo Financial services and PKO Bank Polski, where he was a Member of the Management Board in charge of technology, cybersecurity and employee training and development from 2017 to 2021. He successfully reorganised the functioning of structures of many undertakings, focusing on process efficiency, cost optimisation and dynamic business development. In 2003, he graduated from the Military University of Technology in Warsaw and obtained a Master’s degree in Computer Science. In 2006, she took the position of Deputy Head of the Structured Finance Department. She became the Deputy Head of Corporate Solutions at Bank Pekao in 2007, and the Head of the TMT Bureau at this bank in 2010. In 2014, she took the position of the Head of Large Corporate Department at Santander Bank Polska, and in 2016 she was nominated for the position of the managing director, Head of Corporate Banking Area at this bank. Marta Życińska

General director of the Polish branch of Mastercard Europe

As CEO of Mastercard Europe’s Polish branch since May 2023, Marta Życińska is responsible for business development and implementation of the company’s strategy in the country.  

Marta joined Mastercard seven years ago. She initially headed the marketing department in Poland, and was later promoted to vice president of marketing and communications for Central and Eastern Europe, successfully combining business development with marketing activities in 20 markets. In 2022, she assumed the position of vice president of global product and B2B marketing, with particular responsibility for the areas of Mastercard’s cooperation with fintechs, as well as prepaid services.   

She is a business leader with a strong track record of managing projects to achieve commercial goals in B2B and B2C areas, working closely with sales, development and product departments. Prior to joining Mastercard, she served as director of the marketing office at PZU Group, where she led the rebranding and was responsible for sales support, communications and digital marketing. Previously, she was associated for many years with the telecommunications company Orange, where she headed the B2C communications department.  

Marta Zycinska shares her experience and knowledge as a business advisor working with startups to develop and scale their businesses. As a mentor, she actively supports diversity and equal rights in the workplace and participates in DEI (diversity, equality, inclusion) initiatives and projects. She has served on the chapter of the Effie awards more than once, including Effie Europe and Effie Global. For 13 years Dariusz hosted the popular radio program „Raport o stanie świata”. Since March 2020, the programme has been funded by Listeners and is available on platforms as a podcast. 

 Dariusz has been working in media since the 1980s. He started at RFI in Paris, then spent the entire 90s at the BBC in London. He wrote for various Polish media, from the sacred „Życie Warszawy” and „Życie” to „Machina” and „Architektura”. After returning to Poland, he worked for the Polish Press Agency, Newsweek, Przekrój, Forum and Polityka. He was also a co-founder and editor-in-chief of the first Ozon weekly. This was short-lived, but for many years he wrote for „Rzeczpospolita”, especially for its „Plus Minus” supplement. The magazine with which Dariusz has collaborated the longest and closest is „Tygodnik Powszechny”.

Mark Brzezinski was sworn in as the Ambassador of the United States to Poland on December 22, 2021.

Ambassador Brzezinski previously served as U.S. Ambassador to Sweden from 2011 to 2015, spearheading innovative new approaches to advance U.S.-European trade and landing key Swedish investments, including Volvo’s decision to build a $1 billion factory in South Carolina. He also arranged the first-ever U.S. Presidential visit to Stockholm, which brought together all five heads of governments of the Nordic countries for a summit that galvanized a U.S.-Nordic strategic approach on energy, innovation, and sustainability. In 2015, he was asked by the White House to lead a strategic effort on the Arctic as the first Executive Director of the White House’s Arctic Executive Steering Committee.

Most recently, Ambassador Brzezinski was founder and principal of Brzezinski Strategies LLC. He was a Managing Director at Makena Capital Management, where he led the firm’s sustainable and ESG investing efforts. For a decade, he was a partner at the law firm McGuireWoods LLP, where he helped build the law firm’s international compliance practice. From 1999 to 2001, he served on President Clinton’s National Security Council staff, first as a Director for Russia and Eurasia, and then as a Director for the Balkans.

Ambassador Brzezinski is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the Trilateral Commission. He was a Fulbright Scholar in Poland in 1991-93, during which he researched and wrote a book entitled “The Struggle for Constitutionalism in Poland.” In 2010, he was named to the State Department’s Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board. He received a BA from Dartmouth College, a JD from the University of Virginia, and a PhD in Political Science from Oxford University.

He is the proud father of a teenage daughter, Aurora Brzezinski.
