Since May 2023, Marta Życińska, as General Director for Poland, Mastercard Europe, has been responsible for business development and implementing the company’s strategy in the country.

Marta joined Mastercard 8 years ago. She initially led the marketing department in Poland, and then was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Central and Eastern Europe, successfully combining business development with marketing activities across 20 markets. In 2022, she assumed the position of Vice President of Global Product Marketing and B2B, specifically overseeing Mastercard’s collaboration with fintechs and prepaid services. She is a business leader with numerous achievements in managing projects that deliver commercial objectives in both B2B and B2C sectors, working closely with sales, development, and product teams.

Before joining Mastercard, she worked as Marketing Director at PZU Group, where she led a rebranding initiative and was responsible for sales support, communications, and digital marketing. Previously, she spent many years with the telecommunications company Orange, where she headed the B2C Communications Department. Marta Życińska shares her experience and knowledge as a business advisor, working with startups to develop and scale their businesses. As a mentor, she actively supports diversity and equal rights in the workplace, and participates in DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) initiatives and projects. She has served multiple times on the Effie Awards jury, including Effie Europe and Effie Global. She is also a recipient of the Personality of the Year award in the Marketing Director of the Year competition, and her campaigns have won numerous Effie, Golden Drum, and Cannes Lions awards. She graduated from Brock University in Canada with a degree in marketing and holds an MBA from the Warsaw School of Management and Oxford Brookes University.

Outside of her professional work, Marta, as a philology graduate, is passionate about the English language, as well as medicine and skiing. She successfully combines her professional career with raising three sons.
