Robert Pławiak has been serving as Chief Digital, Technology and Information Officer (CDIO) at Polpharma since November 2022. Previously, from June 2018 to October 2022, he was the CEO of Inteligent Logistic Solutions, an IT Shared Services and Software House within the Pelion Group, and the President of the IT LEADER CLUB POLSKA Foundation.

Robert is a graduate of the Military Technical Academy in Warsaw, where he studied computer systems. He also holds an MBA from the Warsaw School of Economics and completed further studies at Cambridge University School in Digital Disruption Transformation and Strategy in 2022.

With nearly two decades of managerial and leadership experience in sectors such as insur ance, banking, leasing, pharmacy, and healthcare, Robert has managed informatization and digitalization processes, project and program management, cybersecurity, and the development and implementation of IT strategies in financial and insurance institutions in Poland. He is a certified AI manager and has practical experience in implementing AI solutions and LLM models in business. Throughout his career, Robert has been associated with several prominent companies, including the PZU Group, EFL Group, Bank Han dlowy S.A., Inteligo Financial Services S.A., EFG Eurobank Ergasias S.A. (PolbankEFG brand), Fundusz Mikro Sp. z o.o., FM BANK S.A., and Raiffeisen Bank Poland S.A. He is also an active member of PMI International & Polska, ISACA, and ISSA associations and a frequent speaker at industry conferences in Poland organized by PMI, ISACA, ISSA, Puls Biznesu, and Rzeczpospolita.
In these organizations, Robert has developed and implemented IT strategies, led team and digital transformations, and managed internation al IT projects. He has also been responsible for optimizing and increasing cost efficiency in IT. As Chief Information Officer at EFL Group, he oversaw the development and implementation of the IT strategy and IT transformation for the group from 2017 to 2 020, as well as the construction and implementation of corporate architecture strategy and IT sourcing.

In his current role at Polpharma, Robert is responsible for all aspects of digitalization and technology across IT and OT processes in one of the larges t pharmaceutical manufacturers. In the last four years, he has led numerous business process changes in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, including the development of a new system for distributing COVID – 19 vaccines in Poland and optimizing business processes through the implementation and modernization of IT solutions like WMS, TMS, and ERP. Additionally, Robert has been involved in NGO activities in Poland as President of the IT LEADER CLUB POLSKA foundation. Over the past decade, he has established a well – known IT Academy for public sector employees, offering MBA – level education.

His efforts in digital transformation were recognized when he was a finalist for the Digital Excellence Awards in the category of Transformational Capabilities in 2022. Most recently, in 2024, Robert Pławiak was awarded the Digital Excellence Award for Digital Strategic Perspective, acknowledging his exemplary contributions to digital transformation in the pharmaceutical industry.
