Leading in the New World of Work. Dr. Michelle King

Masters & Robots 2025

The workplace is at a tipping point. By 2030, automation will reshape half of all job tasks, and AI is already embedded in how we collaborate, learn, and decide. This shift can negatively affect employee engagement and motivation. How leaders can guide their teams through? That’s the question Dr. Michelle King – renowned organisational psychologist and former Director of Inclusion at Netflix – will explore in her talk at Masters & Robots 2025.

A Trust-Based Work Culture

Technological advancement has accelerated the world like never before. People increasingly struggle to keep up with new tools and systems – especially in the workplace. The main driver of this transformation is AI, which has redefined the nature of work and rewritten the rules of the game. It can amplify or quietly erode the core drivers of human motivation: autonomy, competence, and belonging.

These changes pose a major challenge for leaders. How can they embrace progress without leaving anyone behind? How can they motivate and inspire their teams, encourage continuous learning, and strengthen employees’ sense of agency? Join 9th edition of Masters & Robots and Dr. Michelle King’s keynote speech to find out.

Drawing on global research and real-world case studies, Michelle will share a practical leadership blueprint that replaces command-and-control with trust-based, inclusive, and adaptive cultures. Leaders will learn how to align AI with human motivation, redesign collaboration for hybrid teams, and de-risk adoption with clear guardrails and simple rituals. Attendees leave with plug-and-play tools they can use immediately to boost engagement, accelerate performance, and build future-ready organizations where people thrive, not just survive.

Dr. Michelle King’s session is part of the Leadership Track, powered by IKEA.
