Aleksandra Tomaszewska

Deputy Director of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Digital Affairs

BIO

Aleksandra Tomaszewska is a Deputy Director at the Department of Research and Innovation at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, where she works on initiatives related to the development of artificial intelligence technologies and the data ecosystem. Before assuming her current position at the Ministry, she served as an expert in the Artificial Intelligence Working Group at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, in the Data for AI section. She co-created the family of Polish Large Language Models PLLuM (Polish Large Language Model).

She is also a researcher at the Linguistic Engineering Group at the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she conducts research in corpus linguistics and natural language processing (NLP) and contributes to the development of datasets and linguistic tools.

Aleksandra is committed to promoting knowledge about artificial intelligence, with particular focus on developing the Polish AI and data ecosystem and addressing bias in data and models. In 2025, she was included by Perspektywy in the Top 100 Women in Tech in Poland list.
