We are living longer than ever before – but does it mean we live better? Fear of the future, loneliness, and a sense of lost control can all undermine our wellbeing. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Dr. Frederik G. Pferdt will explore how to bring meaning and agency back into your life and achieve “Future Ready Mind State”. Join his keynote at Masters & Robots 2025.
Future Ready Mind State
“What’s Next Is Now: How to Live Future Ready” – that is the question dr. Frederik G. Pferdt asks in the title of his book. Widely recognised as one of today’s most influential thinkers, Frederik spent many years leading innovation at Google. Now, he shares his insights with a global audience.
His concept of the Future Ready Mind State focuses on developing the skills of tomorrow. It shows how we can let go of fear, regain control over our lives in the present, and take an active role in shaping reality rather than passively waiting for it to unfold.
According to Pferdt, this transformation is rooted in six key “mind states”: optimism, openness, curiosity, experimentation, empathy, and X-dimension. It’s a unique talent each of us possesses. Only by nurturing these qualities, he argues, can we stop waiting for the future to happen and instead start actively creating it. How do we cultivate these states of mind? And how do we turn them into lasting wellbeing while preparing ourselves for what lies ahead?
Dr. Pferdt will address these questions at Masters & Robots, sharing practical strategies for transforming a longer life into a radically better one – full of vitality, purpose, and possibility.
His keynote will open the Health & Wellbeing track, powered by Synektik. Following his session, Frederik will join a discussion with Przemek Gdański, CEO of BNP Paribas Bank Poland.
